Get out! Be social! Try new things! This group is for people who want to try new things and to make new friends doing fun activities. I will be trying to schedule meetups as often as possible, but look to our members for additional ideas. Please note, this is not a "singles" group. It is appreciated if you would not treat it as such. Some of the meetups we have: rock climbing, hiking, mtn biking, skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, off leash fun with our dogs, snowmobiling, whitewater rafting, …
Instead of bringing dogs to a fenced in "boxing ring" to rough house and potentially get hurt, we are bringing them on a focused walk in their most natural state - in a pack. We can do simple paved trails, such as Bare Cove or Pond Meadow Park. Or we can step it up a notch and try the paths less traveled, and go for hikes on the Blue Hills. Location suggestions are welcome! So, all friendly pups and their owners, come join us on our walks for exercise, socialization and some fresh air. Rememb …

I have 2 standard poodles who love to play and socialize. We go to a couple of other dog meetups but don't meet too many other big dogs for running and more robust play. We're hoping to get together with any larger breeds who like to play and run too. We live in Southie, but we especially like Cat Rock Park in Weston. We are open to anyplace we can be off-leash in a safe or fenced place.

Hi! I moved to RI in July 2011 from NYC, the Lower East Side, with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, named Merlin Manhattan. We miss our New York doggie playgroups so we are creating our own right here in RI. And now as of April 2012, I have a new addition to my brood - King Arthur, who is Merlin Manhattan's brother (2 years apart). I have an indoor space to host play groups for dogs around 25-30 lbs and under. While our doggies play pattycake-pattycake, we can enjoy mimosas. Oh and this isn't j …

The Nature Conservancy has helped protect more than 30,000 acres of open space in Rhode Island, including some of our most treasured landscapes: the historic farms of Jamestown, the "maze" at Clay Head on Block Island, and the beautiful, …

Active dogs need active people! Join us for hikes with your dog all year round. Non-dog owners are welcome too! 99% of hikes will be off-leash. The typical hike is 1.5-2 h long and is for someone who is moderately fit. Most hikes wil be on the North Shore but we also venture out once in a while. Your dog should be friendly toward all people and all dogs. Your dog should also be trained to be under voice control if he/she is going to be let off-leash. If your dog is very hyper, he/she will not be …

We urge participants to use our outings as an opportunity to encourage and reinforce positive socialization skills and the behaviors you want your dog …

This is a group for dog owners who like to walk their dog at Great Brook Farm in Carlisle. I enjoy taking my Boston terrier for walks there and thought it would be fun to form a pack walk. My dog isn't ready for off leash walks yet by herself but has done well off leash in a pack. I'd like to walk on Saturday or Sunday mornings. Let's socialize the dogs and socialize ourselves while we enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise! We aren't discriminating here, let's bring dogs of all sizes! ;) I'm …

This is a group for anyone with a Lab or Lab mix who enjoys the outdoors and wants their dog to socialize with other Labs. I love taking my dog Riley to the park and for hikes on the weekends, and I thought I would start this group to see if anyone else wants to join in. We will meet a couple times a month at different places around the state or in MA. I'm also looking for some ideas for new places to go.
This is a group for anyone interested in getting their small breed dog together with new friends for some frolic and fun. We can meet regularly in one of the dog parks in Brookline, Brighton, and Chestnut Hill. Friendly little pups and their people are welcome to join!
Little dogs do best when socialized regularly! It's not always easy to bring our little ones to dog parks and let them run around in the general mix. Chihuahuas in particular love their own kind, and love to meet other little dogs. Puppies learn so much from socializing and it's great for rescues too. Small breeds 15lbs and under are welcome! Please bring a lawn chair and make sure to clean up after your dog. We are in a secure fenced in yard, meetups are weather permitting. Address TBA in the …

This group is for those that want to meet new people with or without their dogs. If there is a dog socializing event, all size dogs are welcome as long as they are not to aggressive. If there is a non-dog event, we can go to dinner, grab drinks, read books, pretty much anything. I would love suggestions from members as to things we can do in this area. I would not mind going to Boston on occasion, but prefer being in this area. So, if you would like a gym partner, book club friend, wine tasting …
