"Meet in the parking lot"
--JoeL10 (The Go To Guy) and Karen L10
Details
Hi! We'll meet in the Sylvan Glen Lake Park parking lot at 2:45 on Sunday, March 30 and walk the pack of dogs starting at 3pm. Sylvan Glen Lake Park is between Square Lake Rd & Long Lake Rd on the west side of Rochester Rd, south of Camp Ticonderoga. The park has a nice walk up the south side of the lake (warning: you'll be walking into the prevailing wind here, dress appropriately. You'll probably want a scarf and definitely gloves). Then into the woods on the trail, thru the gate and onto the golf course. We'll proceed east on the golf course back to the property line and back into the park. A nice circle walk, about a mile, takes about 45 minutes at a leisurely pace. We'll plan an hour + to add dog playtime. Pauses [pawses?] as necessary for dogs playing, sniffing, racing, etc.
The weather i... oh, who really knows? Bring poop bags. This park is one of our favorites. If there's no snow, no one else will be using the park that day. If there's snow, the sledding on the golf course will be open and we'll detour around it. If the weather changes drastically (I hope!) from when I posted this, some of those silly golfers may even be out... we'll determine it when we get there. Have leashes with you on the walk just in case.

"First, I found a new, great place to walk the girls, but do not think I'd do it alone, what do you think? Second, if the fact they came home and slept the entire rest of day is any indication on how much fun they had, I think it was a success. Callie did not want to get into the car, thinking there was still more to do and I was dragging her away. Thanks, again. Good planning." -
